Ness Hightower Receives a Research Award

Undergraduate Research Award from Arizona State

Anesadora "Ness" Hightower, EMPOWER VI Adult Advisory Member and Youth Mentor, was awarded an Undergraduate Research Award from Arizona State University for her study, The Modern Classroom: Technology Integration in Standard Classes and Classes for the Blind and Visually Impaired. By connecting directly with K-12 educators and K-12 Teachers for the Visually Impaired in Arizona, the study aims to contribute to the overarching question: How can museums support diverse learners?

The award is granted by School of Human Evolution and Social Change's undergraduate committee based on quality of proposal, letter of support from faculty, and student’s academic record.

Ness shares that "being connected with EMPOWER has given me the opportunity to work with other professionals who have supported my project through sharing it with their networks."
